Lightening the Load!
2:39 PM Edit This 0 Comments »The last week or two I've decided to unload myself of things I've been saving.
Saving for what? I don't know, a rainy day?
The clutter is driving me nuts!
It's amazing how much lighter you feel as you start to unload the old junk!
I've taken a truckload of clothes shoes books and other stuff down to a woman's shelter. It felt good to give to woman who really could use these items as they struggle to get back on their feet and pull their lives back together! I think it would be a nice project to gather items once a year (or more)and donate them to the woman's shelter. Something I can do with my friends that will benefit others. It always feels good when we give to others.

I am even on my way out the door to reorganize my pond area. It's the place I meditate. The sound of the falling water is so relaxing to me. It's so peaceful and it's my space! When I leave the pond area, I feel refreshed and untangled!
Everyone should think of a "space" to get away. It can even be right around your family.
You just need a place to rejuvenate yourself! Add some meditation and soft peaceful music and your doing your self a healthy favor.
Another thing I've incorporated into my life is a massage table. I purchased a massage table and I share massage with my husband. It doesn't have to be the best but it is very relaxing! Add a bit of Essential oils to that massage and it takes you away.
OK I'm going back to my clean up! It's great starting my mornings with my green smoothie, exercise and no clutter! I feel free

12:08 PM Posted In hummingbirds Edit This 0 Comments »Awesome beautiful crisp day out and while I was just breathing in the beauty, I noticed that the hummingbirds have arrived back!
I can't tell you how much they brighten up my day! I love their swift movement and how they just zip in and grab a little nectar and they are on their way!
It really gives me a break for a few minutes to just forget about everything else
and enjoy nature. Seems like while I'm out watching them, I forget everything else.
Its sort of like a power nap! It Re-energizes me!
In my busy life this is certainly a welcome! Now I have a little something to look forward to everyday. Even if it's just for a few moments, It takes me somewhere else and I could sure use that break!
How to make Bleach Alternative and have a safe and healthy home!
6:55 PM Posted In bathroom cleaner , Bleach , kitchen , lemon laundry Edit This 0 Comments »
Just the smell of bleach is enough to make you not feel well!
Makes breathing difficult & eyes water. Bleach is a strong corrosive. It will irritate or burn the skin, eyes and respiratory tract. It causes pulmonary edema or vomiting and coma if ingested.
WARNING! Never mix bleach with ammonia it may cause fumes which may be deadly.
So what do you do?
Chlorine bleach is very hard on your clothes. Not to mention the
environment. Definitely not safe for our kids!
To whiten clothes add a cup of lemon juice to the wash cycle to boost the whitening
action of your laundry detergent.
If stains are heavy them pour the lemon juice over the stain then rub the area with salt. Then place the garment out in the sun for several hours.Wash as usual.

Counter tops and hard surfaces Mix a paste of Lemon juice and baking soda. Apply the mixture to the stain, allow it to sit for several hours. Wipe clean and the stain should be gone.
Some hard core stains require a second treatment.
Plastic storage containers Make a paste of lemon juice and baking soda to remove stains.
To Sanitize Fill a spray bottle with the juice of 1 lemon, fill with water.
Spray the area then rinse with water.
WHY THIS METHOD WORKS!
The citrus acid in the lemon acts as a natural stain remover, bleach and sanitizer.
What are the benefits of using lemon as bleach?
*Chlorine free
*Gentle on clothes and surfaces
*inexpensive
*Kid & Pet Safe (I think this is the best idea yet!)
*fume free!
*effective whitener and stain remover
*natural sanitizer
NEVER:
** Use lemon on marble or granite as it may cause etching **
Salmonella Outbreak in 42 States!
7:44 PM Edit This 0 Comments »Salmonella Outbreak Hits 42 States !
An outbreak of Salmonella
food poisoning has hit 42 states. Nearly 400 people have become sick
from this outbreak. About one in 5 victims has ended up in the hospital.
One elderly woman died.
It is the same type of Salmonella bacteria that has been confirmed in at
least 388 cases so far. CDC has not determined which foods are causing
the problem.
Symptoms are diarrhea, fever and abdominal cramps
approximately 12 to 72 hours after being infected. The illness lasts
about 7 days and most people recover without treatment.
The problem is the elderly, very young and those with a compromised immune system are at high risk!
CDC says, the best way to avoid this problem is repeated hand washing and to be careful when preparing raw meat.
It may be weeks or months until information is released about where it might be coming from. There are more then 2000 types of salmonella. Yearly they are about 40,00 cases reported. The most common type is Typhimurium. This type is found in meat and eggs.
The cases that are active now are different from last years cases which were related to vegetables, jalapeno and serrano peppers from Mexico
In my option the safest way to go is to practice a Vegan or Vegetarian diet, Its a healthier lifestyle with no threat of Salmonella poising that we has been on the up rise these last few years.
Green Clean in the Laundry Room and more! What are Soap Nuts?

If you are
going green then you will definitely want to incorporate Soap Nuts into
your healthy living program!
Soap Nuts have been around for thousands of years!
Soap Nuts are the dried fruit of the Chinese Soapberry tree. They come from Nepal and India.
They contain saponin, a natural cleaner used to clean clothes. Soap nuts come in two sizes the smaller one sapindus infoliatus and the larger one sapindus mukorossi. Both work great although the larger one is the one that is most commonly used.
Soap nuts get rid of nasty odors. If you have really tough stains, you can add 1/2 cup of lemon into your wash.
Soap nuts are natural and free from chemicals and fragrances. No need to worry about allergies. They are 100% non allergenic.
Soap nuts are so easy to use! Simply drop 4 to 5 nuts into a muslin bag
(I recommend adding 2 drops of Mother Earth Lavender Essential Oil to the nuts)
You now have scented laundry soap with medicinal additives!
Remove the muslin bag before putting the clothes into the dryer.
Another way to use soap nuts is to boil about 15-18 of them in 1.5 quarts of water.
You now have a concentrated liquid. You can add about 3 tablespoons of this to each load of laundry.
Soap nuts can be used to clean every room in the house! It can be used as a window and glass cleaner.
It repairs oily or dry hair.
Soap Nuts are a great multi-purpose cleaner.
Makes being green that much easier!
Soap nuts are anti-microbial (capable of destroying or inhibiting the growth of microorganisms)
They help break down the "gray" in your septic system.
Save water with Soap Nuts!
You don't have to use your rinse cycle with soap nuts. This can save you tons of gallons of water.
Just in case you forget to turn off the rinse cycle the saponin in the soap nuts acts as a softener
Soap Nuts are 100% environmentally friendly!

Why are products that produce known symptoms similar to Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, autism, and countless other neurological and other disorders included in these vaccines?
Known carcinogens, toxins, and neurotoxins found in vaccines: [#1]
- Benzethonium chloride [#2]
- Formaldehyde [#3]
- Phenol [#4]
- Thimerosal [#5]
Commonly Used Vaccine Ingredients:
- Acetone (toxin)
- Aluminum (neurotoxin)
- Benzethonium chloride [#2] (toxin)
- Calf serum
- Chick embryo
- Cowpox pus
- Decomposed fecal matter from ill typhoid patients for typhoid serum
- Dog kidney tissue
- Ethylene glycol (antifreeze)
- Formaldehyde [#3] (carcinogen, toxin)
- Horse blood
- Monkey kidney cell culture
- Mucous from the throats of ill children with colds and whooping cough for whooping cough serum
- Neomyoine
- Phenol [#4] (toxin)
- Phosphate
- Pig blood
- Pulverized felt hats for tetanus serum
- Pus from sores on diseased cows for small pox serums
- Rabbit brain tissue
- Rotten horse blood for diphtheria toxin and antitoxin
- Sodium
- Sweepings from vacuum cleaners for asthma and hay fever
- Thimerosal [#5] (neurotoxin) -- MOST TOXIC
Phenol: [#4]
Phenol is a petrol chemical used to make propane.
"Irritation eyes, nose, throat; anorexia, weight loss; lassitude (weakness, exhaustion), muscle ache, pain; dark urine; cyanosis; liver, kidney damage; skin burns; dermatitis; ochronosis; tremor, convulsions, twitching."
Benzethonium chloride: [#2]
A disinfectant used in vaccines, "medications, deodorants, mouthwashes, in the food processing and pharmaceutical industries, in surgery, and also as a preservative," is already known to cause a "neuromuscular blockade" or transmission failure.
This is typical of what is seen in most Parkinson's patients, and several others suffering from various neurological diseases.
While the elderly and chronically ill who have these very diseases that ingredients in vaccines are known to produce, this is even more alarming since infants are prime targets for vaccination.
The amount of immunizations a child receives from 0-2 years of age has tripled since 1983, and has risen from 8 to 29 doses. The majority of these vaccines from 1983 to 2007 contained the highly potent neurotoxin, thimerosal.
The CDC began to reduce the amount of thimerosal-containing vaccines that US children received beginning in 1999, dropping down to 46%. Presently in 2007, it stands at 7%.
Childhood vaccines, and adult for that matter, still contain thimerosal. Most of which are for influenza, and nearly all still contain trace amounts of thimerosal.
On top of this, 26.25% of adult vaccines contain thimerosal, creating a prenatal exposure in pregnant women
who are also prime targets for vaccination against influenza with thimerosal-containing flu shots.
